Clyde and I will be departing O'Hare International Airport Tomorrow - Tuesday 2/24/09 at 5PM for another wonderful VIM Adventure at the Kenya Methodist University in Meru, Kenya! We will be loaded with a full container of various teaching models, DVDs and nursing books to supplement Yema Luhahi's new Nursing Program at KEMU. We are MOST grateful to the several Sunday School classes and individuals that have contributed so generously for the purchase of these teaching aids. We are traveling with a nurse/friend from Rush, Esther Jones. We both will be prepared to present a couple of lectures for the nursing students and plan to attend as many of the nursing classes as we are able in our two weeks on campus.
We also are taking a Prayer Shawl from the Knitting Group and will present it to the Women's Fellowship at the Kaaga Methodist Church for their use as prayers are needed by their members.
We expect a very full two weeks in Kenya and HOPE that the addition to the KEMU Clinic is complete that we may participate in its Dedication Ceremony!
