For those of you who have been following the travel plans of our VIM team, you know that they were to leave Meru Monday morning and spend Monday and Tuesday in Nairobi, departing Nairobi Tuesday night at 11:30 for Amsterdam and then on to Chicago...
Just received an email from Ed that there has been a change in travel plans:
"Maybe I did not tell you, but we changed ours plans and we are going to stay here in Meru tomorrow night too. Things are a bit tense in Nairobi so we decided to forgo the night there. Our driver will take us directly to the Nairobi airport instead. My plan was to email you after we get through security so you would know we were good to go. You could then let Mary, Dan and John know as well."
Our prayers continue to be with this team for a safe journey to Nairobi and safe departure from a country they have come to love. We anxiously and lovingly await their safe return.
For all of you who have sent messages on the blog, know that they have not only provided such inspiration and love to Ed, Tom, Marty and Laury, but also for Mary, Dan, John and myself as we click on hourly for updates :)

Thanks for your latest blogs! Wow-I was so excited to hear about the safari and your Saturday night sleepovers! And, your various experiences at church. We didn't have anyone leaning in the windows yesterday morning, but church was good here, too. As a recent third grade teacher, I must say you all have put your owen unique "voices" into your writings. Now, it's time for you to come home!! My prayers are with you along the long road home.
